A Thoughtful Foundation for Your Treasures
Every home needs a place for the things that tell your story—favorite books, cherished photographs, and collected treasures. The Gwen Shelf, handcrafted in solid alder, offers a warm and inviting backdrop for these meaningful pieces. With its clean lines and honest construction, this shelf brings both order and character to your living room, study, or hallway.
The Warmth of Harvest Wheat on Alder
Crafted from solid alder, a hardwood prized for its fine grain and smooth texture, the Gwen Shelf is finished in our signature Harvest Wheat. This warm, golden tone highlights the natural beauty and unique grain patterns of the wood, ensuring that no two shelves are exactly alike. The finish is carefully applied to protect the wood while allowing its organic character to shine through, creating an enduring piece that feels right at home from day one.

Our Customers Love Us
"I could not be happier with the level of customer service James & James provided. Also on an earlier order with the table, I made a mistake in the order and they went out of their way to make it right."

Inside Our Arkansas Workshop
Solid American Hardwoods
Every piece begins with premium American hardwoods — knotty alder, white oak, and black walnut — hand-selected, dried, and processed in our Arkansas facility before a single cut is made.
Precision-Shaped Components
Legs and pedestal bases are shaped to exacting specifications in our Arkansas woodshop, then hand-inspected and refined by our craftsmen before they ever reach the assembly floor.
Built by Hand & Made to Order
Each piece is built one at a time by our artisans to your specifications, using solid hardwood construction and time-tested joinery designed to hold up for generations of real family life.
Hand-Finished for Life
Our in-house finishers apply your chosen stain and protective topcoat by hand, ensuring even color, rich depth, and a durable finish that ages beautifully with use.
