Our Mission
At James & James, we are guided by a singular belief: that the spaces we live in deserve furniture with soul — pieces that are as enduring in quality as they are timeless in design. Our mission is to reimagine American craftsmanship for the modern home, offering made-to-order furniture that honors traditional techniques while embracing the individuality of each customer.
Every piece we build begins with intention — thoughtfully designed, meticulously constructed, and tailored to your exact specifications. From the hands of skilled artisans in our Arkansas woodshop to the heart of your home, our work reflects a commitment to excellence, authenticity, and legacy. We choose materials with care, craft with precision, and finish with purpose — creating furniture that not only elevates your space, but is built to be passed down through generations.
For those who value artistry over trend, substance over speed, and connection over convenience, James & James offers more than furniture — we offer lasting beauty, rooted in craftsmanship, and designed to stand the test of time.

Where We Started
At James & James, we believe furniture should do more than serve a function — it should carry meaning, evoke emotion, and become part of your legacy.
Our story began in 2011 in a small garage in Springdale, Arkansas, where a single handcrafted table sparked something enduring. What started as a weekend endeavor soon evolved into a full-time pursuit: to create refined, hardwood furniture that balances timeless design with exceptional quality.
From the beginning, our mission was rooted in integrity — to craft pieces that are not only beautiful but built to last. Every curve, joint, and finish was shaped with intention. And from the first nail to the final polish, our furniture carried the values of heritage craftsmanship, honest materials, and personal service.

How We Grew
James & James has grown with purpose — not through trends or mass production, but through a deep and steady commitment to excellence. Every piece we create is still made-to-order in our Arkansas woodshop using solid American hardwoods, many of them responsibly harvested from within our home state.
Our team of artisans, finishers, and designers bring both technical mastery and a personal touch to every item — ensuring that each piece is crafted with care, precision, and quiet elegance. We also proudly collaborate with Amish and Mennonite woodworkers in rural Indiana, who produce our chairs and select beds with the same reverence for tradition and detail that defines our brand.
These partnerships are not only practical — they are philosophical. They reflect our belief that true luxury lies in the unseen: the meticulous joinery, the hand-applied finishes, the way a piece feels as much as how it looks.

Where We’re Headed
In December 2024, James & James began a bold new chapter under the ownership of entrepreneur and engineer Charles D. Morgan. With a lifelong passion for American design and innovation, he brings both vision and experience to guide the brand forward — building on our legacy while refining every aspect of the experience.
We are embracing modern production technologies — not to replace craftsmanship, but to elevate it. Our investment in precision tools and digital systems is designed to improve quality, consistency, and efficiency — while preserving the hands-on artistry that defines who we are.
Looking ahead, we’re building toward a more vertically integrated future. By bringing more of our process in-house — from raw material selection to final finishing — we gain greater control over every detail. This allows us to move with more precision, reduce lead times, and ensure every piece that leaves our woodshop meets the uncompromising standards our clients expect.
We’re also deepening our connection to our home state of Arkansas. From native hardwoods to regional partnerships, we are committed to using materials we know and trust — not only for their quality, but for the story they carry. Our vision is to create furniture that reflects the land and craftsmanship it came from — grounded, enduring, and distinctly our own.
Because at James & James, true luxury lives in the details — in how a piece is made, where it comes from, and the care that goes into every joint, curve, and finish.
Whether you're gathering around a dining table crafted for decades of shared meals, or selecting a bed to anchor your most personal space, you're not just purchasing furniture — you're investing in a future heirloom. Built by hand. Rooted in tradition. Designed to endure.
Welcome to James & James. Built for you. Made for life.
