A Thoughtful Balance of Steel and Solid Oak
Every home needs a place for the things that tell your story—treasured books, collected art, and family photographs. The Arlo Shelf is designed to hold those pieces with quiet confidence. By pairing the strength of industrial steel with the natural warmth of solid oak, this shelving unit brings a grounded, balanced presence to your living room, study, or hallway.
The shelves are crafted from solid oak, selected for its rich grain patterns and enduring character. Finished in our deep, inviting Sable stain, the wood's natural beauty is highlighted rather than hidden, offering a refined look that feels both modern and timeless. This dark, warm tone contrasts beautifully with the clean lines of the steel frame, creating a piece that feels structured yet welcoming.
Built to last for generations, the Arlo Shelf is more than just a storage solution; it is an intentional addition to your daily living space. Whether you are organizing your favorite reads or displaying cherished heirlooms, the open design keeps your space feeling light and airy while providing dependable, sturdy support.

Our Customers Love Us
"I could not be happier with the level of customer service James & James provided. Also on an earlier order with the table, I made a mistake in the order and they went out of their way to make it right."

Inside Our Arkansas Workshop
Solid American Hardwoods
Every piece begins with premium American hardwoods — knotty alder, white oak, and black walnut — hand-selected, dried, and processed in our Arkansas facility before a single cut is made.
Precision-Shaped Components
Legs and pedestal bases are shaped to exacting specifications in our Arkansas woodshop, then hand-inspected and refined by our craftsmen before they ever reach the assembly floor.
Built by Hand & Made to Order
Each piece is built one at a time by our artisans to your specifications, using solid hardwood construction and time-tested joinery designed to hold up for generations of real family life.
Hand-Finished for Life
Our in-house finishers apply your chosen stain and protective topcoat by hand, ensuring even color, rich depth, and a durable finish that ages beautifully with use.
