Our tabletops are finished with polyurethane. Polyurethane offers a robust layer of protection that minimizes wood furniture against water, stains, and scratches. Its durability is one of its most celebrated attributes, making it an ideal finish for pieces that see daily use.

Your furniture is built from solid wood and is designed to be durable and livable. Our furniture is sealed with a polyurethane finish to protect the wood. Customers appreciate the durability and longevity of our furniture.
To preserve the beauty of your piece for years to come, we recommend cleaning with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive products, as they can compromise the finish and damage the surface. Always use trivets or coasters beneath hot or wet items to protect against heat and moisture.
For lasting quality, place your furniture in a stable indoor environment, away from direct sunlight or extreme temperature fluctuations. Each piece is crafted for indoor living and is not suited for outdoor use.

Every James & James order is made-to-order. If you need to make any change to your order (finish, size, width, etc.), you can do so by calling or emailing our team within 24hrs of placing your order.
After the 24-hour window James & James is unable to make any additional modifications or cancel your order.
We recommend reaching out to our team before completing your purchase. We can help answer any questions you may have to avoid an order changes within the first 24hrs.
What if I need to hold my order?
What if I need to hold my order?
If you’re ordering for a property under construction or have future needs, we provide the option to place a hold on your order. This allows your order to remain in our queue until approximately 10 weeks before shipping from our woodshop in Heber Springs, AR, ensuring it enters and completes production at the right time.
Once your hold date is set, your order will ship within a week or two of that date, and then it will follow our standard shipping timeframe. This process creates a seamless delivery experience that aligns with your schedule.
Please inform our team of any holds within the first 24 hours after placing your order. Additionally, if there are any changes to your timeline regarding when you can accept shipment, please notify us as soon as possible. Depending on where we are in the production process, we may still need to ship your order as scheduled. In such cases, or if shipment has already occurred, you would be responsible for any storage fees charged by the shipping carrier, which are based on the size of the order and the length of time in storage.

All custom orders are shipped within approximately 8-10 weeks from their order date unless otherwise noted.

All James & James furniture is handcrafted to order, with an estimated production time of 8-10 weeks.
Once completed, your order typically takes 10–15 business days to arrive at the nearest delivery terminal, though transit times may vary by location and season. Customers located in rural areas may experience longer transit or scheduling times based on carrier coverage and routing.
When your shipment reaches the local terminal, the delivery carrier will contact you by text or email to schedule your delivery appointment. Available appointment times depend on the carrier’s route and scheduling capacity, and they will make every effort to deliver your order as soon as possible. Transit times may be extended during the holiday season due to increased shipping volumes.
