Heirloom Oval Dining Table - Charred Ember on Alder
Heirloom Oval Dining Table - Charred Ember on Alder
Custom, American Hardwood Furniture
A Gathering Place of Enduring Character
The dining table is the heart of the home—a place where morning routines unfold, family dinners linger, and stories are shared. Our Heirloom Oval Dining Table, handcrafted from solid alder wood and finished in our deep, rich Charred Ember tone, is designed to be the anchor for these everyday moments. With its soft, rounded edges and natural warmth, it brings an inviting, grounded presence to your dining room.
Thoughtful Design, Built for Living
Measuring 5 feet in length and 42 inches in width, this oval table is thoughtfully proportioned for intimate daily meals while remaining spacious enough for hosting. The single pedestal base is both a beautiful design detail and a highly functional feature. By eliminating corner legs, the pedestal design maximizes legroom and allows you to easily tuck in extra seating when gathered with family and friends.
Crafted by Hand from Solid Alder
We build our furniture to be used and loved for generations. This table is individually crafted by our team from solid alder, a hardwood prized for its fine grain and smooth texture. The Charred Ember finish is carefully applied to highlight the wood's natural character and unique grain patterns, ensuring that no two tables are exactly alike. It is a finish that feels both refined and deeply connected to the natural world.
Every Heirloom Oval Dining Table is made to order in our studio, ensuring that the piece arriving in your home has been built with the utmost care, intentionality, and respect for the craft. It is more than just a piece of furniture; it is an enduring part of your home's story.

Our Customers Love Us
"I could not be happier with the level of customer service James & James provided. Also on an earlier order with the table, I made a mistake in the order and they went out of their way to make it right."

Inside Our Arkansas Workshop
Solid American Hardwoods
Every piece begins with premium American hardwoods — knotty alder, white oak, and black walnut — hand-selected, dried, and processed in our Arkansas facility before a single cut is made.
Precision-Shaped Components
Legs and pedestal bases are shaped to exacting specifications in our Arkansas woodshop, then hand-inspected and refined by our craftsmen before they ever reach the assembly floor.
Built by Hand & Made to Order
Each piece is built one at a time by our artisans to your specifications, using solid hardwood construction and time-tested joinery designed to hold up for generations of real family life.
Hand-Finished for Life
Our in-house finishers apply your chosen stain and protective topcoat by hand, ensuring even color, rich depth, and a durable finish that ages beautifully with use.
