Olivia Dining Table - Tobacco on Alder
Olivia Dining Table - Tobacco on Alder
Custom, American Hardwood Furniture
The Olivia Dining Table in Tobacco on Alder brings a warm, settled feeling to the collection’s turned-leg design. The finish gives the solid wood a deep, inviting tone, making the table feel at ease in a traditional dining room, a kitchen, or a more collected interior.
Alder with a Warm Finish
James & James makes each table to order from solid alder, a hardwood known for its smooth grain. Tobacco enhances that natural character with rich color and subtle depth, so each piece retains the individual variation that makes hardwood more interesting over time.
Built with Care for Daily Living
The Olivia combines the visual detail of hand-turned legs with the simple utility of a solid dining table. Our furniture makers use established construction methods and honest materials to create a piece that is ready for regular use and the moments a home gathers around it.
If you need your furniture a little faster, don’t worry — we've got you covered! Check out our Ready to Ship section for beautiful pieces that are built and ready to head your way.

Inside Our Arkansas Workshop
Solid American Hardwoods
Every piece begins with premium American hardwoods — knotty alder, white oak, and black walnut — hand-selected, dried, and processed in our Arkansas facility before a single cut is made.
Precision-Shaped Components
Legs and pedestal bases are shaped to exacting specifications in our Arkansas woodshop, then hand-inspected and refined by our craftsmen before they ever reach the assembly floor.
Built by Hand & Made to Order
Each piece is built one at a time by our artisans to your specifications, using solid hardwood construction and time-tested joinery designed to hold up for generations of real family life.
Hand-Finished for Life
Our in-house finishers apply your chosen stain and protective topcoat by hand, ensuring even color, rich depth, and a durable finish that ages beautifully with use.
