Choosing the right fabric for your home is a deeply personal decision. It is about how a sofa or chair feels when you sit down at the end of the day, and how the color shifts as morning light fills the room. Our Oatmeal Basketweave Linen Swatch allows you to bring this beautiful material into your home, helping you visualize exactly how it will complement your space and daily life.
A Thoughtful Balance of Texture and Utility
This performance-woven fabric offers a wonderful balance of character and practicality. It captures the unmistakable, organic texture of natural linen while incorporating the strength and easy care of synthetic fibers. The result is a fabric that feels soft and inviting, yet stands up beautifully to the routines of a busy household.
A Versatile, Warm Neutral
The Oatmeal color is a warm, neutral tone that brings a quiet balance to any room. Its thoughtful basketweave pattern adds subtle depth, making it highly versatile for both classic and transitional interiors. We always recommend seeing and feeling our fabrics in your own space, alongside your lighting and existing decor, to ensure it is the right fit for your custom furniture piece.
At James & James, we believe in building furniture that lasts for generations, and that starts with selecting the right materials. Order a swatch today to take the first step toward creating a piece that feels uniquely yours.

Inside Our Arkansas Workshop
Solid American Hardwoods
Every piece begins with premium American hardwoods — knotty alder, white oak, and black walnut — hand-selected, dried, and processed in our Arkansas facility before a single cut is made.
Precision-Shaped Components
Legs and pedestal bases are shaped to exacting specifications in our Arkansas woodshop, then hand-inspected and refined by our craftsmen before they ever reach the assembly floor.
Built by Hand & Made to Order
Each piece is built one at a time by our artisans to your specifications, using solid hardwood construction and time-tested joinery designed to hold up for generations of real family life.
Hand-Finished for Life
Our in-house finishers apply your chosen stain and protective topcoat by hand, ensuring even color, rich depth, and a durable finish that ages beautifully with use.
