Expandable Round Heirloom Dining Table

Crafted from solid Knotty Alder Hardwood, our furniture is built for everyday use and ready to become your next heirloom.

Every piece is hand-finished in the color of your choosing, then sealed with a polyurethane finish to further protect the surface. Surface area knots are filled for a smooth finish, while all other knots are left open and natural.

Shown in knotty alder, this piece can also be crafted from white oak, maple, or black walnut upon request.

The table is approx. 48" Round and expands to approx. 72" Oval when the leaf is inserted.

This tabletop is approximately 1.75" thick and the table has a standard dining height of 30" tall. To arrive at the clearance underneath, subtract 1.75" from the total height of the table.

Please note that each measurement is an approximation, as these pieces are hand-built. We allow for up to 1" in variation to accommodate the unique nature of handcrafted furniture.

For daily care, we recommend using water and any cleaning product safe for wood surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals as it will deteriorate the finish and could cause damage. Remember to use a trivet or coaster for items too hot to touch.

To properly store a wooden table leaf when not in use, keep it flat in a clean, cool, dry, and shaded area, such as under a couch, bed, or in a closet. Avoid leaning it upright to prevent warping. In humid environments, wrap the leaf in a vapor-resistant material, like an old bed sheet, to protect it from moisture and mold. Always ensure the storage location is free from extreme temperature fluctuations or direct sunlight, which can damage the wood.

If an expandable table leaf doesn’t fit properly after storage, it may need time to reacclimate to the table due to natural wood expansion and contraction. Place the leaf in the same environment as the table for a few days to adjust to the temperature and humidity. Once acclimated, fit the leaf into the table, checking for debris or misalignment. Avoid forcing the fit to prevent damage, and make small adjustments as needed.

We believe craftsmen should stand behind their products. That’s why we promise: 

1. If your item(s) isn’t delivered in the correct color, size (after allowing for our 1” variance), or style that you ordered, we will replace it.  
2. If your item(s) arrives damaged and the damage is noted upon the delivery paperwork, we will evaluate the damage and at our discretion either repair or replace some or all of the product that is damaged.  
3. If your item(s) ever unnaturally cracks or splits, we’ll fix or replace it as indicated in our warranty.
