The Abigail Sofa Table is a quiet way to make a living space feel more complete. Its turned legs bring softness and tradition to the design, while its clean, useful surface is ready for a lamp, a favorite stack of books, or the objects that welcome people home.
Sable on Solid Oak
This version is made from solid oak and finished in Sable. The finish gives the table a deep, refined presence, while oak's expressive grain and natural variation ensure that each made-to-order piece carries its own character.
Comfortable in Collected Rooms
Set the Abigail behind a sofa, in a hall, or near an entry where the room benefits from a grounded wood element. The turned-leg motif supplies visual interest, yet the silhouette remains easy to live with alongside both traditional and more transitional furnishings.
Crafted with Lasting Intent
James & James builds every Abigail Sofa Table by hand to order. It is solid wood furniture made for daily use, with the kind of considered detail that helps a home feel settled over time.

Inside Our Arkansas Workshop
Solid American Hardwoods
Every piece begins with premium American hardwoods — knotty alder, white oak, and black walnut — hand-selected, dried, and processed in our Arkansas facility before a single cut is made.
Precision-Shaped Components
Legs and pedestal bases are shaped to exacting specifications in our Arkansas woodshop, then hand-inspected and refined by our craftsmen before they ever reach the assembly floor.
Built by Hand & Made to Order
Each piece is built one at a time by our artisans to your specifications, using solid hardwood construction and time-tested joinery designed to hold up for generations of real family life.
Hand-Finished for Life
Our in-house finishers apply your chosen stain and protective topcoat by hand, ensuring even color, rich depth, and a durable finish that ages beautifully with use.
