The Maria Dining Chair, thoughtfully hand-finished by American craftsmen in solid maple, pairs a gracefully curved spindle back with a gently contoured seat to deliver lasting comfort and heirloom durability. Sculptural lines evoke Shaker-inspired simplicity while blending effortlessly with modern farmhouse or refined traditional dining spaces. Each chair is built to order, allowing you to select the stain that best complements your James & James table, and the dense hardwood construction resists daily wear, supporting family dinners, homework sessions, and holiday gatherings for decades.

Every chair is made to order and can be customized with your preferred finish. Crafted from solid maple hardwood and sealed by hand to highlight grain and protect against daily use. The piece arrives fully assembled for immediate seating. Natural variations in color and grain ensure no two chairs are exactly alike.

For daily care of your maple hardwood chair, we recommend dusting regularly with a soft, dry cloth to maintain a clean surface. When necessary, use water and a wood-safe cleaning product for a deeper clean. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals, as they can deteriorate the finish and potentially damage the wood. Be sure to dry the chair immediately after cleaning to prevent moisture damage.

We strongly believe that your delivery experience should match the quality of our product. All James & James orders ship with White Glove delivery as we are committed to providing the most premium delivery experience.

Please note: Our dining chairs are not drop-ship items. Whether ordered individually or alongside other furniture, they will first arrive at our woodshop for final quality checks before being shipped. If ordered with additional James & James products, they will be delivered together.

We believe craftsmen should stand behind their products. That’s why we promise: 

  1. If your item(s) isn’t delivered in the correct color, size (after allowing for our 1” variance), or style that you ordered, we will replace it.  
  2. If your item(s) arrives damaged and the damage is noted upon the delivery paperwork, we will evaluate the damage and at our discretion either repair or replace some or all of the product that is damaged.  
  3. If your item(s) ever unnaturally cracks or splits, we’ll fix or replace it as indicated in our warranty.   

Our furniture is handcrafted from real wood and exhibits unique rustic qualities. Please be sure to read our Cosmetic Standards before ordering.
